With the help of 50 ultra runners* in commodities, we’ve just carried out a short survey to see whether aspects of the character and personality of a runner might translate into enhanced leadership skills. Conscientiousness was only one of the aspects. With the support of Thomas International, we asked them to complete a High Potential Trait Indicator (HPTI) assessment --- measuring six personality traits predictive of success in the workplace and leadership skills --- as well as telling us about their running habits and motivation, together with the impact they believe that running has on their work.
